LEAK-01 ISO4075 Package integrity tester for natural latex rubber condoms , using negative pressure method, is applicable to leak detection of packaging bags, bottles, cans and boxes, etc. Through leak tests, the sealing processing and seal test results may be used for reference when determining other technical parameters. The instrument also can be used to test seal performance of specimens after falling and compression tests.

Test Procedure
1. Submerge the individual containers in water contained in the vessel within the vacuum chamber. The uppermost part of the containers shall be covered by not less than 25 mm of water. If a dye is added to the water, leakage of water into the container will be easier to detect.
2. Two or more containers may be tested at the same time, provided that they are placed in such a manner that all parts of every container under test can be observed for leakage during the test.
3. Evacuate the chamber to an absolute pressure of (20± 5) kPa. As the vacuum increases, observe the containers for leakage in the form of a steady stream of bubbles. lsolated bubbles caused by entrapped air are not considered to be leaks.
4. Hold vacuum for (60 ± 5) s. Release the vacuum, remove the lid, and examine the containers for the presence of water inside.
Interpretation of results
1. If there are bubbles indicating leaks in a container as the vacuum increases, or when held at specified
vacuum, then specimen fails the tests.
2. If the test fluid is visible inside a container, the container fails the test.
3. If there are no bubbles observed indicating leaks, and if no test fluid is visible inside a container, the
container passes the test.
